Donations & Bequests Appeal
In 2013 we will be helping 30 people move from institutionalized services to their own homes in the community as that is the model of care that is best for the individual. New homes need to be fitted to make them accessible and assistive technology installed to suit individual needs. This is a very worthwhile project that we have successfully completed for 40 service users in the past and it greatly improves their quality of life, while also reducing the level of care required and the cost of care in the long-term.
With 15% (€3m) HSE cuts in the past 3 years and up to 6% (€1.5m) more to come in the budget to be announced in January 2013. We have had to cut our costs and make difficult decisions in the past year. In 2013 we are faced with further cuts and will rely more on fundraised income from new sources to deliver our service.
Cheshire welcomes donations and bequests from people or organizations who would like to support our work. All donations and bequests received are used to support Cheshire Homes/Services and the people who use our services. As a registered charity (registered number CHY5484), you can be assured that we will use all funds and assets towards the charitable objectives of the organization.
